When people meet you what kind of impression do you leave? Most of us try to put our best foot forward by looking or acting in a way that makes us think we’ll be accepted. Sometimes we offer a title that communicates a job, a status or a level of education.
When Peter and John were brought before the religious rulers in Jerusalem, what made the impression wasn’t their job title, status, education or social etiquette. What made the impression was a sense that Peter and John had been in the presence of Jesus.
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13 ESV)
Is there anything about the way you present yourself that gives people that same impression?
